Core Performance

GURTEX SG168 has a surface dry time of ≤30 minutes at 25°C, with a full cure time of ≤48 hours.

Due to its high UV reflectivity, SG168 reduces surface temperatures significantly, which translates to a reduction of interior temperatures by more than 10°C. This minimizes thermal stress on the substrate.

Application Guidelines

The recommended coverage is 0.5-1.5 kg/m² applied in 2-3 coats.
Drying time between coats is 4 hours at 25°C.

Yes. For metal surfaces, it is highly recommended to use an anti-rust primer before applying SG168. Do not use an SG368 undercoat with this product.

Limitations & Safety

No. SG168 is strictly designed for sloped exterior surfaces. It is not suitable for areas with long-term ponding or standing water. Adequate surface slope is mandatory.

Avoid application if the substrate temperature exceeds 40°C. Additionally, if relative humidity exceeds 80%, the curing time will be extended by approximately 3 days.
